Normal Blood Glucose Levels

If you are struggling to get your blood glucose levels back to normal then you probably know that it is not as easy as it sounds. In fact, most people that have diabetes or other health related issues that relate to blood glucose levels know that there are a number of factors that can affect you. Some of these factors include: Medication, food and exercise. Let’s take a look further into these areas.
Medication. If you are taking insulin then this purposely has an effect on your normal blood sugar levels. If you are taking insulin and do not feel that your levels are right then you should consult a doctor immediately. Only you know your body and if you just do not feel right or your numbers are different then they should be then you need to take action as soon as possible. Also, the introduction of a new medication can have an impact on your number as well. Once again, it is recommended that you consult with a physician prior to taking any new medications no matter how harmless they may seem to be.
Food. You should be careful to eat at the same time of the day, each and every day. If you wait too long to eat this can have a major impact on your normal blood glucose levels. You also need to be very careful with the carbohydrates you put into your body. This is due to the fact that carbs treat your body different than proteins or fats do.
Exercise. Your muscles utilize sugar for energy and as a result you should monitor the amount of exercise you perform and when you do so during the day. Prior to getting involved in cardiovascular activities you should speak with a doctor to find out what he or she recommends. Of course, if you begin to feel weak at any point you should stop what you are doing immediately.
